The ASAIHL - Scopus Young Scientist Awards are given annually to outstanding young scientists and researchers in Asia-Pacific who have made significant contributions to scholarship and research.
These awards would be given in the following four categories:
Life Sciences
Engineering & Technology
Medicine
Agricultural Sciences
Eligibility
Open to candidates from Asia-Pacific, excluding Japan, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Candidates should be less than 40 years of age as of July 14th, 2008
Evaluation
Average number of citations per paper and h-index
Average number of publications and patents per year
Documented social impact
Deadlines
Nominations and Applications open starting July 14th, 2008.
Close on midnight of October 10th, 2008
Results to be announced in mid-November
Application Process
Candidates for the award can be put forth by nomination or direct application. All applications and/or nominations must be supported by two letters of recommendation
