The ASAIHL - Scopus Young Scientist Awards are given annually to outstanding young scientists and researchers in Asia-Pacific who have made significant contributions to scholarship and research.
 
These awards would be given in the following four categories:
  • Life Sciences
  • Engineering & Technology
  • Medicine
  • Agricultural Sciences
Eligibility
Open to candidates from Asia-Pacific, excluding Japan, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Candidates should be less than 40 years of age as of July 14th, 2008
Evaluation
  • Average number of citations per paper and h-index
  • Average number of publications and patents per year
  • Documented social impact
Deadlines
  • Nominations and Applications open starting July 14th, 2008.
  • Close on midnight of October 10th, 2008
  • Results to be announced in mid-November
Application Process
Candidates for the award can be put forth by nomination or direct application. All applications and/or nominations must be supported by two letters of recommendation
